Jennie
(COTA/L)
Jennie earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Oakland Community College in 2009 and an Associate Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Macomb Community College in 2013. I have over 20 years experience in the field of early childhood/ elementary experience as a teacher, camp leader, and assistant director before returning to occupational therapy.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting children’s growth and development by creating positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environments. My goal is to build a career as a pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant, where I can combine my background in early childhood education with my occupational therapy training to help children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. There is nothing more rewarding to me than watching children learn new things, overcome challenges, and become the very best they can be.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, spoiling my nieces and nephews, going Up North, camping, enjoying lake life, traveling or planning a trip to the Wisconsin Dells or Cedar Point. Living in Waterford most of my life, I now live in Port Huron where I enjoy checking out local events, reading, taking walks, and volunteering with a local winterguard team.
